Jason's Weekly Descramble 2.9.24

Good afternoon Arlington Ridge,

I hope everyone had a great week and enjoyed these nice afternoons we’ve had, and everyone is ready for the next few days of warm weather.

We had another successful week working on the golf course. We continued to work on the tree cutting program, as well as topdressing the rough areas on the following holes 1, 2 and 16. We also put out our monthly fertilizer programs as we prepare for some warmer weather in the next few days. I’ve been asked numerous questions about some of the green surfaces. We have been closely monitoring them daily and have had several meetings and ride arounds to make sure we identify the root cause and implement a plan to correct. With the El Nino weather patterns this winter, we’ve had numerous challenges with prolonged wet overcast days, cooler weather than normal, and more rain than usual. While most of the greens appear in good health overall, we have seen some level of decline on many. The severity is most noticeable on holes 3, 5, 7, 16, & Putting Green, which have had issues in the past and are suffering the most.

Danny has worked with our Regional Director of Science & Agronomy, sending samples off for diagnosis and has put together an aggressive program to control any potential disease pressure these greens may currently be under, while grow-in efforts are underway. This was implemented on Wednesday. We will continue to monitor and adjust the plan as needed, as our overall goal is to have full coverage on all greens. We will provide another update to everyone next week.

With that said, we have roped off some of these areas so we can reduce foot traffic. If you land inside these roped areas, we ask you to please follow the USGA rules and take relief NO closer to the hole.

Overall, we are 100% committed to getting these greens corrected and golf course in the conditions that we all want.

Also, we look forward to hosting the Mixed Couples Event tomorrow. The event starts at 8:30am. The weather should be beautiful, and it will be a fun day for everyone. Please make sure that everyone signs up for the following event:

· February 23rd, 24th & 25th – Club Championship and will be 8:30 AM Shotguns.

Please continue to stop by the Golf Shop and check out the new merchandise and thanks for the support in the Golf Shop daily.

We continue to have great support in the Restaurant, and we are very excited for what the future has in place as well. We had a very successful week on the Kitchen area as we’ve started a detailed deep cleaning program for the kitchen and all other areas. We are committed to getting these areas taken care of on a daily basis. We had a successful training class for some of the staff members this week and will have all employees properly certified by next Friday. As we continue with the “cultural changes” with the staff, the cleaning programs and the overall growth of our restaurant, we continue to look at items daily and will continue to cross them off our list and commit to having great food, better atmosphere and continued training of our team. Also, beginning on February 11th, we with start closing the Restaurant at 2:00 pm on Sundays. Breakfast will now run from 9:00am to 2:00pm.

Once again, I want to thank everyone for your support of the Golf Course and the Restaurant, and we truly appreciate it. As I’ve also said, if anyone has any questions, please feel free to contact me anytime and I’m always open to constructive criticism as this will only help us get better and get us in the direction, we all want to be in.

Thanks, and have a great weekend.

If anyone has any questions, please let me know.
