Good afternoon Arlington Ridge,
Hopefully everyone has had a great week and had some time to enjoy this wonderful weather…
We had a successful week working on the golf course and continue to make great strides in the areas we are focusing on. We did get 6 inches of rain last weekend and the cooler weather isn’t helping the golf course or any growth. The team continues to perform the correct practices and promote positive growth. We also received the second soil samples back from the greens and the practices we’ve done the past few weeks has eliminated the disease. We will see more movement and growth as the weather continues to get warmer.
Next week we will continue to work on the weak areas, also we will spike the greens as well to continue to get oxygen in the greens and promote positive growth. Also, the plan is to finish cart path edging and work on more weed control. I also want to remind everyone that we’ve had a really rough winter with overcast days, cooler weather, and lots of rain. I said when I started at Arlington Ridge Golf Club that this will be a project that won’t be fixed overnight, and it will take some time. The team and I are 100% committed to get this wonderful golf course in better shape and have consistent conditions.
Today started the Club Championship and thank you to everyone that signed up! Please come out if you have a chance and watch the final round. Also, please sign up for the following events:
· March 9th – Veterans Event – 8:30 Shotgun
· March 22nd, 23rd & 24th – Member Guest (all details are posted) would love to see our biggest field of the year.
I want to thank everyone for the support in getting your golf supplies in the Golf Shop. Please stop by and let us know what we can do to help get better product for our Golf Shop. Also, as many of you have seen we received our new carts last week and they look great, and we are excited to have them. We appreciate all your support and please continue to let us know if you have any requests.
We had a great week in the Restaurant as we continue to grow our business. We still have a long way to go and continue to train and coach the staff on many different items in the Restaurant. We have added a few new staff members and we are excited to have them on the team... Please make sure to say hello and welcome them to Arlington Ridge Golf Club.
