Jason's Weekly Descramble 1.5.24

Good Afternoon Arlington Ridge!

Happy New Year and I hope everyone is having a great week…

We had another successful week at Arlington Ridge Golf Club. The golf course conditions continue to get better, and the team continues to work on the areas that we want to improve. We did a small tine process on the greens this week as well as laying down black sand on the greens. The black sand helps keep the greens warm during this cold winter that we are currently having. We did go around this week and marked the trees that will start cutting on Monday. We will also finished holes 16 & 17 with filling ruts and moved to the front nine. After riding the course this week and looking at these areas, we will continue to go back and spot fill holes to make sure we have a consistent look on all holes. This project is still number one (1) on our list as we to make this better for the golf course. Also, next week we will continue to spike the greens and have a light top dress to maintain the healthy greens that we have. I know they were a little slower as of late, but we did lower the heights today and you will see the greens pick up speed again. I’m very happy and proud of the direction the Golf Course is coming, and as I keep saying, when we get warmer weather this Golf Course will thrive!!

Remember to sign up for the Mixed Couples event on January 20th. It will be another fun event and I’m looking forward seeing our signups grow.

Also, the F&B Department had a great week of growth. The past few days, with the holidays over, the restaurant has been busier. Kellie is getting more acquainted with the position and has made a few great changes to the operation. On a positive note, this week our restaurant was voted 4th best restaurant in the Leesburg area. Since this article has come out, we’ve received numerous calls to book private parties and individuals just booking to have dinner reservations as well… Very proud of this and I know we will continue to grow as well…

I do have a meeting with F&B Advisory Board next Monday and have the new menu to present to them and the special events we will start hosting. Stay tuned for a fun and exciting week in the F&B Department next week.

Please remember we will have our quarterly Member / Resident meeting next Thursday January 11th at 2:00 pm in the Fairfax Hall.

We truly appreciate all the support everyone is giving to us in golf and F&B and we will continue to grow and get better each day.

If anyone has any questions, please let me know and have a great weekend and stay dry!!

Thanks,
