Good Evening Arlington Ridge!
Hopefully everyone is having a great week…
Yet again another great week on the Golf Course. We are getting more tasks accomplished as we continue to make sure the Golf Course is heading in the correct direction. We did receive close to another 2” of rain this week as well as the cooler weather. As we all know, we can’t control the weather and we are all ready for warmer and dryer weather. The future forecast is about the same as we’ve been having. The team continues to do the correct practice to the Golf Course and is protecting it from these weather patterns that we’ve had. I know I’ve had some questions about the new weeds that have appeared, called Poa. This is a cooler weather grass and with our cooler weather it is thriving and appearing in a lot of areas, and we are spraying for this and will continue to stay on top of this. The tree cutting process is moving along nicely and we are heading to #15 next week. We are keeping it moving until we get to hole #1. We also are working on the cart path area on hole #17 and believe that we have found the issue. We will get this fixed and stop the puddling when we install a few French drains in this area as well. Next week our main focus will be continuing to work on cutting trees, spiking the greens to continue to get oxygen in them. We are also expecting cooler weather this weekend and a possible freeze Saturday evening. Please call the Golf Shop if you’re playing Sunday and we can update you if we are.
The Golf Shop is starting to get the new products in as we received some of our first Adidas orders in, so please stop by and take a look. Also, we did postpone the Mixed Couples Event tomorrow as individuals were dropping out and the weather wasn’t going to be good so we decided to move it (see below for new date) please sign up if you didn’t already and we can see the field grow:
· February 10th - Mixed Couples – 8:30 Shotgun
· February 17th – Veteran’s Memorial Tournament – 8:30 Shotgun
· February – 23rd, 24th & 25th – Club Championship – 8:30 Shotguns
Also, our Men’s Interclub team got a tie yesterday against Mission Inn. They have another home match this week, so let’s root them on and bring home a win!! They tee off at noon again.
As most of you know, we did reveal the new menu last night and have a ton of positive comments and numerous compliments on the new items. Also, please feel free to let me know what you think. I love constructive criticism as this is the only way we will get better. I want the team to learn and get better with each day.

Looks like another great week of specials, so please come out and try them. Let us know your favorite! Also, I keep asking for you to make Reservations as we have been busier as of late. I don’t want anyone to miss these great specials or the great new menu we are offering. As I stated yesterday and last week, our goal is to have the best service and food we can provide. We are going to make mistakes and we are going to learn from our mistakes, so please let us know as I really want everyone to be happy and enjoy this wonderful restaurant. We enjoy seeing everyone smiling and having fun.
I’m very pleased with the direction we are heading in and can’t wait until we have a full restaurant every night. We truly appreciate everyone’s support and everyone’s comments…
