Jason's Weekly Descramble 1.12.24

Good Afternoon Arlington Ridge!

I hope everyone is having a great week…

I want to thank everyone that came to the quarterly Member / Resident meeting yesterday. I feel like it was a great meeting. We had some great questions and I’m very excited in the direction the future is heading at Arlington Ridge Golf Club.

We had another successful week on the Golf Course. We are getting more tasks accomplished and crossed off our checklist. We started cutting trees on Hole 18 and this process isn’t as fast as we would like, as we want to make sure we are doing it correctly. We will continue to go backwards on the Golf Course to finish this tree project. I have had numerous requests about the trees and as I’ve told everyone please just call me or email me. We will come right out and make sure we are all on the same page. We received our third batch of sand yesterday and we will continue to work on the potholes and as I said yesterday this process will take some time to make sure it is done correctly. We have already received close to three (3) inches of rain through the first 11 days of the month and not a lot of sun light or warm weather. Also, the future forecast doesn’t look great as we have more rain and much cooler weather coming in the next few weeks…

With that said we continue to protect the Golf Course by making sure we continue to do the correct practices. Overall, we need warm weather and sunshine for this Golf Course to continue to get better.

Also, I want to let everyone know that we are starting to get some of the new Merchandise arriving within the next week, so come down to the Golf Shop and check some of this new Merchandise out. We have some events coming up and would like everyone to sign up and make sure we have successful events:

· January 20th – Mixed Couples – 8:30 Shotgun

· February 17th – Veteran’s Memorial Tournament – 8:30 Shotgun

· February 23rd, 24th & 25th – Club Championship – 8:30 Shotguns

One other Golf Course note: the men members play in the FSGA Interclub for the state of Florida and next Thursday we host our first home match against Mission Inn. If you would like to come out and cheer them on, they tee off at noon and should finish around 4:00 pm. Let’s get bring home a win this week!!

We are excited to announce some “Wonderful” news as we will be starting the new menu in the Restaurant next week. In addition to this, we will be running a daily lunch special and start themed dinners again. This will all begin on Tuesday as well. I’m currently working on a calendar with these specials as we have them done through February.

Here are next week’s specials:

· Tuesday 1.16 – Lunch – Ham Salad Sandwich – Dinner – Meatloaf, Mashed Potatoes

· Wednesday 1.17 – Lunch – Pulled Pork Sandwich – Dinner – Burger & French Fry Night

· Thursday 1.18 – Lunch – Meatball Hoagie – Dinner – Mexican Night – Street Taco’s

· Friday 1.19 – Lunch – Buffalo Chicken Sandwich – Dinner – Fish Fry

· Saturday 1.20 – Lunch – Italian Sausage Hoagie – Dinner – Prime Rib Dinner

· Sunday 1.21 – Breakfast – Meat Lover Omelet

When I finish the calendar this weekend, it will include the sides and the prices. We are very excited to begin the process and hopefully get to see more people enjoying the restaurant. Also, we are getting more phone calls in the past week for groups looking to book parties and small group dinners. If anyone is interested in booking, please ask for myself and I will assist you. Kellie has been here for a few weeks now and my main focus for her is to continue training and education for the team members. There are a lot of tasks that she has been assigned to do and the faster we can get these accomplished, the faster we can get Kellie to start booking events.

Overall, I’m very excited in the direction the F&B Department is heading. We are still learning from our mistakes, so we all need to trust the process in order to succeed to the fullest. We appreciate everyone’s support in all areas of the facility, and I am looking forward to watch Arlington Ridge flourish.

As always if anyone has any questions, comments, or concerns please feel free to contact me.

Thanks, and have a great weekend.
