Good afternoon,
I hope everyone is doing well… and having a great week!!!
We had a successful week in many areas of the property this week as we continue to grow as a team and as we continue to learn different things to make us get better as an organization. We spent a lot of time this week spraying and continue to eliminate the weeds on the golf course. We also worked on the greens and did a light top-dress on all the greens as we continue to make sure we are promoting positive growth. We did receive about 2.5 inches of rain this week as that helped as we were very brown after not having water last week. We do have more rain projected through the weekend which will help as well.
Next week we are going to needle tine all the greens and a light top-dress as well. We are going to fertilize the fairways and continue to work on spraying the weeds on the golf course. The team will also be doing other small projects as we continue to get ready for fall weather and the growing season is almost over.
Also, starting next week we are going to increase our mowing patterns and start mowing three (3) days a week as our plan for the summer is working and we have a ton of grass in all areas. I know I’ve had numerous requests or suggestions of things to get accomplished on the Golf Course and we do have plans to do some of these jobs in non-growing season. The team continues to grow daily, and we have a solid plan for the future as we are going to continue to make this property better each day.
We continue to get positive comments on the Golf course, and we’ve had numerous individuals ask about booking groups with us or rebook after their rounds. Please continue to stop by the Golf Shop for all of your needs. If we don’t have your size let us know and we can order for you. Hopefully everyone has had a chance to see the new Footjoy product and has tried a piece out.
I do have a few small requests if we could help out… Please make sure you stop by the Golf Shop and check in before you go out and play and say hello to the Golf Shop staff. Also, I’ve had a few residents call and say some carts are going in their property and if we could please stay on cart paths around greens and tees as we want these areas to get better as well.

· September 26th, 27th & 28th – Arlington Cup – 8:00 Shotguns each day
· October 5th – Pink Challenge – 8:00 Shotgun start.
· October 26th – Glow in Dark Event – It’s not open yet but put on your calendar.
F&B had a very successful week as our new F&B Manager started Tuesday and I’m very excited to have her on the staff and assist me in making the F&B Department even more successful and it will help take some items off my plate. Her name is Kellie, and she was a F&B Manager at a Resort in Disney. She’s already brought a great attitude this week and lots of wonderful ideas. I hope everyone has a chance to meet her and welcome her to the team.
I want to thank everyone again for the great support last Friday for the dinner and the band. I’m so excited about the future and the different things we are going to try. Our next event will be September 20th in the Tavern as we will have someone playing that evening from 4:00 to 7:00. We’ve scheduled a band for October and working on one for November. As I said last week, please put on your calendars December 14th for the Holiday Gala as I’ve booked a band for that evening as well.

Also, I’ve had some individuals bring me different ideas for specials and I’ve passed them on to Chef Eric and he is looking into some of them, but we can’t do everything as we do look at costs of items as every week all of the food items we purchase continue to go up.
One other item, we will be going to our normal Wednesday schedule on October 2nd, the hours will be 11:00 to 7:00.
We truly appreciate everyone’s support and wonderful comments about the growth we’ve made in a short period of time, and we will continue to get better each day as well.
