Good morning,
I hope everyone is having a great morning, and I apologize I didn’t get my weekly update out yesterday as we were very busy with the Band and dinner reservations.
We truly appreciate everyone that came out and supported the restaurant for dinner and everyone that went to the band last night. I believe it was a very successful evening and we learned a lot of things that will make us better for future events. As I said last night, we have bands already scheduled for September, October, and November. I’m also working on our Holiday Gala currently and getting a band scheduled for that as well. Please make sure you have December 14th in your calendars for the Holiday Gala.
I know I’ve had some comments that my weekly updates are copy and paste from week to week and yes sometimes I personally feel the same way. My main objective with these weekly updates is to give a briefing of what we are working on and also a slight idea of what our plans are weekly. I think the important item is we are communicating with the community and giving update on some of our wins and losses. I truly feel that each day we get better and we also make lot of mistakes daily as well… The goal is to get better and learn from them. I will try to change my weekly update and I will continue to let everyone know what we are going to do.
The Golf Course did survive this week without having any irrigation and we had absolutely zero rain but it rained all around us. We do have some hot spots on the golf course currently and last night we watered extra to make sure we can stay on top of these areas and get it back to green. I’ve also had some comments about the green speeds. As a golfer myself, I enjoy fast greens probably more then anyone and everyone says the greens look the healthiest they’ve seen them in some time. But, with that said, they are healthy but we are protecting them as we still don’t have a great root base that we looking for. We are still getting better from past issues and past mistakes made on the greens. I would rather continue positive growth and when the time comes lower heights on mowers, roll more, etc.
Now that the irrigation is back on, we will get back on the golf course next week and continue to work on eliminating the weeds and boom spray again, we can also fertilize again next week to continue to push positive growth in all areas of the golf course.
Also, I wanted everyone to know that with all the hard work we’ve done on the golf course that we are starting to see positive comments from outside golfers that are playing the property. Our GolfNow reviews have gone from two (2) and threes (3) to fours (4) and fives (5) from July 1st through August 30th. To me that’s a great sign that people are hearing outside the gates that we’ve made significant improvements to the property!! Remember we still understand we have a long way to go and are dedicated to get a great golf course.
Hopefully everyone has had a chance to stop by the Golf Shop and check out the new Footjoy shoes and shirts that we received recently. Please stop by and make sure you get your golf needs from us and if we don’t have your size, let us know and we can call and order it for you.

One last comment I’ve had numerous questions about football season and if we will have the NFL package. As of today, we are not planning on it as it’s not on Direct TV anymore and is on You Tube TV and we don’t have smart TVs to stream this currently. I will look into this for the future.
I really appreciate everyone’s support and we are getting excited to start seeing the snowbirds arrive very soon and have a great season. If anyone has any questions, please let me know.
Thanks,
