Jason's Weekly De-Scramble 6.21.24

Good afternoon,

I hope everyone has had a great week and has enjoyed the weather with some of the rain we have received!!

It was another great week of work being done on the golf course. We aerified all greens and tees this week and the team did a great job with the punching and clean-up. We have taken a lot of the cores and have filled in bumpy areas and also rolled them down so that it will help these areas grow with grass. The team also aerified the tee’s and this will help get some hardness of the tee’s and get some good oxygen and nutrients to the ground. We also have worked on other areas with the bumps to try to make the roughs smoother.

The boom spraying is working out very nicely. The weeds are starting to die and the little amount of rain we received this week is already helping to make the golf course greener. We will continue to stay on top of the weeds as we will be doing another application next week. We also fertilized the golf course this week and are starting to see some positive growth in all areas of the golf course.

Overall, I’m very proud of the work the team has been doing on the golf course and we know we still have a long way to go. We have some great plans this week, as we will verticut and top-dress the greens on Monday. We are working on getting a better speed on the greens. We appreciate all the great comments and I want everyone to know we still a long way to go, but we are heading the correct direction.
