Jason's Weekly De-Scramble 5.31.24

Good afternoon,

Hope everyone had a great week and has enjoyed this early warm weather we have had the past few weeks…

Had another productive week working on the Golf Course and really starting to see some great movement in the correct direction. We have a new Vice President of Agronomy for the Southeast and he was on property this week and spent some time with Danny and I and we had a great conversation of what his thoughts of the Golf Course were, and he has given Danny different ideas on how to handle the weeds as well… He did agree with me and said that the turf is still a little weak to use the boom sprayer as well.

We will continue to put more fertilizer on the Golf Course and continue to push for more growth in the fairways and roughs so we can have a definition between these areas. We also discussed the greens and how healthy they are and how we will slowly start to make them faster for everyone when they putt. As everyone has noticed we did take a lot of the ropes down this week and I’m asking for everyone to please try to keep all carts 30 feet away from greens and all four tires on cart paths around tees and greens and just continue to treat the Golf Course as if the ropes were still up.

We continue to make great strides on having a better Golf Course and we are committed on this and every day I see a better Golf Course and better lies and a lot better growth. With this early warm weather there are a lot of dry spots on the course, and we are watering through out the day to keep moisture on the course. We really need rain as you all know so hopefully the rain cycle will be here soon. As I said, we will continue to work hard each day to have a great Golf Course.

Please remember we are aerifiying again on Monday June 17th and the Golf Course will be closed all day.

I hope everyone has had a chance to stop by the Golf Shop and see if we have your size in anything and take advantage of the 35% off sale. We also will have a new employee starting the Golf Shop this week, her name is Emma Parker and worked for me at WDW Golf and will be a great asset to the TEAM this week.

We are very excited about tomorrow as the ARGC Woman’s Day event is at 8:30 and we have 135 players, and we did a great job adding to the field this year and hope to continue to grow this event every year.

Please sign up for the June 6th – ARGC Par 3 Challenge – 8:00 am Shotgun

The F&B Department had another great week as we continue to get better in this department and appreciate everyone’s support as my main goal is to continue to make money and have a great staff and great food. Also, I did say last week that starting this Wednesday June 5th we will be closing the restaurant on Wednesday at 5:00 pm. We will only be doing this for the summer months and when October 1sy hits, we will go back to staying open until 7:00 and having dinner service. We are only doing this for the summer.
