Jason's Weekly De-Scramble 5.3.24

Good afternoon,

I hope everyone is doing well and had a great week.

We had another successful week on the Golf Course. The team was able to get a lot of work done. As I said last week, we hired a new Spray Tech and he started Monday. He jumped right in and has already sprayed holes 2, 3, 6, 10, 11, and 13 this week, as he is starting to get himself situated around the property. I’ve already seen a lot of the weeds starting to die. Hopefully we can stay on top of these weeds, so they can slowly start to go away. We’ve also seen some more positive growth on the greens this week and will continue to lower the height on the greens mowers so we can get to a better speed.

Next week we will be putting some Sludge application down on the golf course to help the growth in all areas and continue to make the turf have a stronger root base. This application will have a very distinct smell and it will be around for about a week.

We are very committed to the continued work on the golf course, and we will get it in the shape everyone is looking for. I see positive changes daily, but we still have a long way to go. We have analyzed all areas of the golf course as well to figure out what we need to focus more attention on (all tee box areas, cart paths, etc.). Also, you may have seen lines painted on the fairways as we are trying to have a definition between fairway and rough when we begin mowing these areas again. Hopefully, we can start to see a difference soon. As I continue to say, we are very committed to this property and making sure we have the quality golf course we are all looking for.

Tomorrow, we have the Mela-No-More golf outing, and we are very excited as we are over 100 players. It will be a nice fun day for everyone!
