Jason's Weekly De-Scramble 3.29.24

Good afternoon,

I hope everyone is having a great week and enjoying this beautiful Good Friday weather…

We had another successful week working on the golf course and are seeing positive growth in all areas of the course. The greens are making a great recovery from the disease we had this winter because of the cool, overcast and wet weather. The team continues to spot spray daily for all the weeds that continue to keep popping up and this is a priority that we stay on top of this process, while continuing to eliminate weeds on the property.

Next week we have plans to continue with our fertilization and start with another pre-emergent program as well. I’ve asked that we continue to work on making areas look cleaner with weed whacking, edging, and putting mulch out on areas around tee boxes. We are looking for a cost-effective plant for tee box areas where we removed the cord grass. Ultimately, our goal is to still work on greens, tees, and fairways, making sure we keep heading in the correct direction in these areas. I’ve also asked for the team to start working on the potholes on the golf course, as we have finally hit some nice warm weather and I’ve seen great growth in the roughs this week.

As I’ve said for numerous months now, and after some great ride arounds on the course with Danny, this week we are 100% committed to get this great golf course in the conditions we are all looking for.

I would like to thank everyone that played in the Member / Guest Tournament this past weekend and appreciate all the great comments. In addition, I would love to congratulate the following winners:

· Overall Men’s Winner – Allen Schmidt – Bruce Duff

· Men’s First flight – Brian Whaley – Justin Deen

· Men’s second flight – Don Smith – Tom Polumbo

· Men’s third flight – Allen Schmidt – Bruce Duff

· Ladies Flight – Allene Forward – Terry Delcamp

It was a great event and I really hope everyone had a great time. I can’t wait until next year! Hopefully we can double the field size.

Also, after looking at the tee sheets and the schedules we are going to keep the Member / Member on the dates we originally planned for. We hope everyone signs up, so we can have a great field for this wonderful event.

We had a great week in the F&B Department and each day that goes by we continue to grow as a team and learn from each other. We are trying to learn how we can get better each day in the F&B area. We truly appreciate all the support, and we hope that everyone continues to give us a chance.

Also, please let me know if we make mistakes so we can teach, coach, and train the team to continue to head in the direction we are striving for.

We are excited for our Easter Day Brunch and look forward to seeing everyone. If you are still interested in coming, we have a few slots open at the 12:00 time slot and plenty at the 9:00 and 10:30.

Overall, this was another successful week at Arlington Ridge Golf Club, as we continue to change our culture, work, and train our team to continue to grow. I truly appreciate everyone’s support and please let me know if we need to get better in certain areas or if we are doing good. We can only get better with constructive criticism and feedback. My goal is to get better everyday and make this the best facility in Lake County. Thanks for all the support and I look forward to seeing everyone soon.

Thanks,
