Jason's Weekly De-Scramble 3.15.24

Good afternoon Arlington Ridge,

Hopefully everyone is having a great week and is enjoying this wonderful weather…

I hope this letter finds you well. I wanted to take a few moments to give everyone an update about the facility from the past week.

As we get close to the CDD meeting next week I would like to let everyone know we had a successful February, and each department was profitable.

The maintenance team had yet another successful week working on the golf course. They once again put more fertilization, sprayed the entire golf course for weeds, and continued to spot spray the weeds as well. It’s great to see the weeds starting to die, and our goal is to maintain the weed control daily. We also did a light top-dress and spiking of the greens this week to the weak areas as we continue to see positive growth on the greens. We need to make sure we continue to have a smooth ball roll with more grass on the greens. We also removed some cord grass around tee boxes as they were starting to have major ants and bugs in them. We do have a plan to make the tee surrounds look better as well..

This warm weather has been so good for the golf course and hopefully everyone has seen the positive growth. The best part for me this week was seeing the striping of the fairways from when we mowed them. We do have another cold front coming through next week, but it is supposed to warm right back up and we will continue to see positive actions being done to the golf course.

We will do another light top-dress and spiking to the greens next week as we must make sure we stay on top of spraying the weeds. It’s great to see some growth and I am so excited for the future of the golf course.

I want to say thank you to everyone that played in the Veterans Event last Saturday and appreciate all the great comments. I’m so pleased to say that you all raised $13,000 for the Veterans!!! I’m so proud to be a part of this event and now we must raise more in 2025.

Please sign up for the following events and our goal is to raise the numbers each year and get more individuals involved:

· The Member / Guest – March 22nd, 23rd & 24th with 8:30 shotguns daily

· The Member / Member – April 11th, 12th & 13th – with 8:30 shotguns daily

I hope to see everyone there for these wonderful events we are hosting.

We had another successful week in the F&B department as we continue to grow and continue to make “cultural changes.” With some of these changes everyone must understand my goal is break even in the restaurant and with doing this we have to watch our expenses. I appreciate everyone supporting us, but if you can please call ahead and make a reservation so we can plan for the evening. I don’t want the staff to get overwhelmed and I want the kitchen to have good ticket times when individuals place an order for food. Once again, we appreciate the support, and we look forward to seeing new faces all the time.

We look forward to seeing everyone next week for these awesome specials and look forward to hosting everyone’s Easter Day Brunch.

We appreciate all the support everyone is giving us as we are truly working hard to make sure we have better golf course conditions, a better restaurant experience, better staff, and we truly want a fun and warming experience for everyone. We will make mistakes and we will learn from those mistakes, but as I say, we love “constructive criticism” as this will help us get better.

Thank you again for all your support, and we look forward to seeing you soon.

Sincerely,

Jason R DeWildt | General Manager
