Jason's Weekly De-Scramble 12.6.24

Good afternoon,

I hope everyone is having a great week and hopefully we will start to get some warmer weather in the next few days.

We had a very hard week on the golf course as we had three (3) frost delays, and the cold weather isn’t great for the turf, it shuts down and stops growing. The positive is we have killed most of the weeds and they don’t appear to be coming back. When Todd and his team sprayed for the weeds, it was very close to the non-growing season, and this is one of the reasons we are very thin in some areas. The good news is the greens continue to get better with speed and some of the weaker areas are having positive signs of better root system. I’ve heard a lot of positive comments on the Golf Course and Todd and his team are doing a great job keeping up with the conditions.

Next week we will continue to make the Golf Course aesthetically more pleasing as we will put more mulch out in areas around the Golf Course. We will also continue to work on the bunkers as this is our next big project we are working on. I have heard that there are rumors out there that the bunker renovations that we turned into the insurance company has been denied. Currently we have turned everything into the insurance company, and we haven’t heard anything back from the insurance company and nothing has been denied at this time. I imagine it will be some time before we hear anything and while we wait, we want the bunkers to look better and easier to play out as well... We also have been getting more outside play and we don’t want the bunkers to be a deterrent or leave a bad taste in our guests minds that we haven’t been taking care of them. When I hear something, I will make sure we pass the word on to everyone. We are still determined to have a better Golf Course and we still continue to get great ratings from guests that play here, and we continue to add more outside rounds daily.

As we approach the Christmas time, please stop by the Golf Shop, and get you gifts for family in friends and spread the ARGC logo out to everyone and they can represent our Golf Club. We continue to look for new staff on the Golf side of the business and we are excited to have Emma back for the Holiday season as she enjoys being back and assisting in every area she can.

One important item, if anyone has any questions on Member Statement, please stop by and see me as I’m the only one that can fix these issues and I don’t want anyone to wait if you think something is wrong.

Please sign up for the following events:

· Saturday December 21st – Ugly Sweater Event – 8:30 am Shotgun Start

· Wednesday January 1st – Hair of the Dog Tournament – 8:30 am Shotgun Start this will be posted live tomorrow.

Overall, golf is getting better each day, and we continue to get new golfers on the Golf Course and tons of wonderful comments. We will continue to grow in this area and commit to having everything better in the Golf Department.

F&B continues to grow each day and we have basically flipped the entire staff and have a lot of new team members as we continue to grow in this department as well. We are having some new learning curves, but this will take some time as everyone gets accustomed to facility and how we do certain items. This is also the same for the back of the house as well. We have an entire new back of the house team, and they are getting acquainted with the menu and the quality of product we want to serve. With all the new team members it will be a few weeks to get everyone trained and a great understanding of what are expectations are. We’ve already started with our Christmas Parties as we’ve had five (5) already this week and have more next week.

We appreciate everyone’s support and wonderful comments and also the constructive comments as we want to have a great atmosphere in the F&B Department, and we will continue to move in the right direction.

Also, Marty and Tim are running the TV Trivia in Fairfax Hall on January 11th and I know they are almost sold out so get ahold of them and sign up for another fun evening with all the residents of ARGC.

Overall, I’m very excited about the direction we are heading in and the comments from outside play as well as members on the Golf Course and Restaurant. We are going to make mistakes and we will learn from mistakes, but we need everyone to understand that we are trying, and we are determined to get better each day.

I hope everyone stays warm this weekend and everyone has an enjoyable weekend. If you have any questions, please let me know and thanks to everyone for the support.

Thanks,
