Good afternoon,
I hope everyone is having a great week and has enjoyed some of these cooler mornings we’ve been having lately.
As many of you know, we are currently working on the golf course with a lighter staff than normal, as we’ve lost our Superintendent and a few other staff members who submitted their notices before Danny left. That said, I’m very excited to say that on Monday, October 7th, we will welcome our new Superintendent. He has an impressive background and has worked at numerous high-end private facilities. We have had many discussions about the priorities for his first few weeks, and he is 100% committed to addressing all the necessary areas. We will start with the weed control next week, as will as working on the greens with needle times and top dressing. Additionally, I haven’t hired anyone yet, as I want the new Superintendent to build his own team. I have received numerous applications this week, which I will review and share with the new Superintendent next week. We truly appreciate all the work the staff has been doing since Danny left, and we’re excited that they are all committed to helping us achieve the golf course condition we require.
Next Thursday, October 10th, at 2:00 PM, I will be holding my quarterly meeting in the restaurant. Our VP of Agronomy and Science will also be here as well to provide an update of our 90-day plan and answer any questions. We will also introduce our new Superintendent and Kellie, our new F&B Manager. This is an exciting time for ARGC as we are putting together a new team that understands our goals and vision.
Please stop by the Golf Shop this week and check out all the new merchandise we are receiving and use some of your credit book and get new logoed AR merchandise.
We are very excited to be hosting the Pink Challenge Golf Event tomorrow morning and what a great cause to support and we have over 100 players and we are supposed to have a great day of weather. If anyone want to come and support or donate to this great cause, please do.
Please sign up for the following events:
· Glow in the Dark Event – 6:45 PM Shotgun start; also best costume prizes as well.
· Next event will be Turkey Trot in November
Also, please stop by the Golf Shop and get your membership packets and get a new membership for FY25 as we are trying to increase our memberships this year, and have a great calendar planned for 2025.
We truly appreciate all the support and comments, and we truly can’t get better without everyone letting us know what we are doing right and even wrong.
WOW! The Friday night music has been a huge success and have had numerous positive comments and also suggestions on how we can do things differently. We are listening and discussing on how to improve to make sure we get better each week. I know the Tavern isn’t big enough for everyone, and reservations go quickly, but we truly appreciate all the support. Watching the Restaurant grow each week is phenomenal and exciting as that is my goal to make the Restaurant a fun and different environment for everyone. Please continue to call us and make Reservations for all the specials and events.
Please sign up for October 25th for the Jay Ruben Band in Fairfax Hall from 6:00 PM to 9:00PM. We will have a great dinner special before the band, and also will be open until 7:30 PM so please continue to come out and support us.

I know I say this every week, but I truly mean it. We are so grateful for all the support we get from everyone, and the best news is we continue to get better each day and get great comments daily. Please continue supporting us and please keep letting us know how we are doing as we can’t get better if we don’t know. I hope to see everyone this next week and continue to watch the team grow.
Have a great weekend!!!
