Jason's Weekly De-Scramble 10.27.23

Getting Settled

I hope everyone is having a great week and enjoying this beautiful weather…

Hopefully everyone has had a chance to see all the sod work that we finished last week and now that it is all down and tacking to the soil well. This past week we’ve rolled and top-dressed all the newly sodded areas and will start to mow some of these areas next week. Also, this week we’ve sprayed the weeds in the waste areas on #1 and #6 and we continue to remove cord grass and clean up areas to make them look more Aesthetically better.

Next week we plan on Verticutting and top-dressing the greens on Monday October 30th, continuing to remove cordgrass areas around tee boxes and continuing to spray for weed control. Also, the new roller for the Greens Mower came in this week and we will be lowering the heights on the greens as well!!

Just a few reminders we are excited about the Halloween Glow ball event tomorrow night and please make sure everyone is signing up for the following events:

I have also booked Fairfax Hall for the next four (4) quarters for membership meetings, please see the following dates below:

  • January 11th at 2:00 pm
  • April 11th at 2:00 pm
  • July 16th at 2:00 pm
  • October 3rd at 2:00 pm

I will make sure these dates are also on the Event calendar.
Also, with the new Membership year starting Wednesday, November 1st , please make sure to stop by and get your new cart stickers, ensure we have your GHIN established and we continue to grow our membership….

I appreciate everyone’s support since I’ve been here, and it’s been a great 1st month. I look forward to seeing many other positive changes to the facility as well as we continue to grow.

If anyone has any questions or concerns, please let me know and we work together to get them accomplished.

Thanks,

Jason R. DeWildt | Director of Golf
