Good afternoon,
I hope everyone is having a great week and is getting out and enjoying this wonderful weather we are having.
I believe a very successful week for the Maintenance Team as they have been working nonstop since last Friday to get the golf course cleaned up from Hurricane Milton. They’ve also worked hard making sure that we are still mowing and preparing a golf course for play. We were very fortunate that we could open 9 holes on Monday and then to get 17 holes open by Thursday. We understand that there is still some debris and limbs out there and we will get them. The main focus was to get a Golf Course open for play as we are one of the few in this area to open when we did.
As many of you know we have a new Superintendent Todd and he’s been here for a little over a week and has gotten a lot of work done that we’ve been discussing. He has already verticut all the greens, lowered the heights on all mowers, has sprayed the front 9 for all the weeds. He understands the goals that we have and the direction he has led the team in such a short period of time has been great. I’m very excited to have him as part of the team and really appreciate all the hard work his team has done since last Friday.
Please add to your calendars that I will have my quarterly on October 31st at 2:00 PM in the Restaurant. Please come and meet Todd and also come and meet out VP of Science and Agronomy as he will be giving updates on the goals, we have set for the next 90 days.
Also make sure you stop by the Golf Shop and get your membership packets as we are getting close to the end of the month and get the 3% discount. I know may people have questions on the discount, and I will be back in the office next week and I can answer all your questions then. Also please stop by the Golf Shop and check out all the new merchandise we’ve received and use your credit book.
Also, I’m very excited as the phones have been ringing off the hook and we are getting a lot of outside play bookings, and I also booked another event for the Spring. I’m very excited about the future and believe that we are getting good reviews and comments on the Golf Course.
We had a great week on the F&B Department as we ran our first outside party last weekend and they enjoyed it a lot and they’ve also already asked to rebook for next year. The lunch and dinner specials have been working great as well and I’m very excited as we continue to grow as a team and get better each day.

Also, the Friday night entertainment has been a huge success and I know there has been a lot of great comments and we are excited to continue this through the month of November as well... Please sign up for the Hay Ruben band for next Friday October 25th from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm and the Chef has a wonderful special so book your tickets on the Arlington Ridge Website and call and make a reservation for dinner and come out and enjoy a nice evening in Fairfax Hall.
